Mailing list subscribers are persons that receive mass email messages, such as weekly or monthly newsletters. Depending on the software app that is used to manage a given mailing list, they may have joined personally, giving their categorical approval to be included in the mailing list, or they may have been included manually. The latter means that they will technically receive unsolicited messages.
